History

History

The "Jean Moulin" building was erected in 1894. The building has successively been home to:

• the École primaire supérieure Victor Hugo (1905)
• the Lycée de jeunes filles (1952)
• the Collège Jean Moulin (1967)

The school is located in the town-centre at the heart of Perpignan’s historical quarters :

• St Jacques
• St Mathieu
• La Réal
• St Jean

Values

The École primaire supérieur provided its pupils with a sufficiently robust education that allowed each to take his place in society. Its motto was:

Educate your hand, cultivate your mind, strengthen your body

The “Sup” endowed each one of its pupils with an indelible esprit de corps, a sense of belonging to a school which they were proud of... and with which they could strongly identify.
